BSOD when using certain programmes. Hi. I encountered numerous BSOD when using the computer ever since I upgraded from Windows Vista Home Premium x32 to Windows 7 Home Premium x32. My 1st time posting here =X. I have attached my most recent BSOD crash report here. Can I ask how can I solve and prevent my computer from having BSOD? Thank you in advance!
Details: I usually have my Mozilla Firefox version 3.5.6, if that helps, open together with my Windows Live Messenger 2009. Thank you! | My System Specs |

Please upload all of the BSOD's from the C:\Windows\Minidump directory. The single dump file doesn't have any specific information. But we can draw some inferences from what info we do have. H/W Diagnostics:
Please start by running these hardware diagnostics: Memory Diagnostics (read the details at the link) HD Diagnostic (read the details at the link)
Also, please run one of these free, independent online malware scans to ensure that your current protection hasn't been compromised: Malware (read the details at the link)
Next, please update these older drivers to make sure they're not causing the issue. Update them from the device/program manufacturer's website - not from Windows Update nor from the Update driver function in Device Manager: Code: adfs.SYS Thu Aug 14 10:57:15 2008

Invalid system memory was referenced. This cannot be protected by try-except,
it must be protected by a Probe. Typically the address is just plain bad or it
is pointing at freed memory.
Arguments:
Arg1: c35e405f, memory referenced.
Arg2: 00000000, value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation.
Arg3: 961dc18b, If non-zero, the instruction address which referenced the bad memory
address.
Arg4: 00000002, (reserved)

I have updated my touchpad already, but it does not have much of a effect. I have also updated my TI. I am running a malware scan by Trend Micro Housecall again just in case. I would run an adobe update later. But after the touchpad update I faced a bsod. this is the dump.
#Edit
Now my computer freezes sometimes randomly. I have not experiences such things (BSOD or Problems) when using Vista Home Premium x32. Do you think I should roll back?

No specific info in the dump file (it blames the Windows kernel)
The older drivers still need updating (other than the touchpad) Code: adfs.SYS Thu Aug 14 10:57:15 2008

But sometimes it'll crash and won't tell you the driver. Other times it'll crash before you can log in to Windows. If you can't get to Safe Mode, then you'll have to resort to offline editing of the registry to disable Driver Verifier.
So, I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Windows 7 Startup Repair feature).
Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.
Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out.
Reboot into Windows (after the crash) and turn off Driver Verifier by going back in and selecting "Delete existing settings" on the first page, then locate and zip up the memory dump file and upload it with your next post.
If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.
If that doesn't work, post back and we'll have to see about fixing the registry entry off-line.

I have tried to update these softwares but I cannot find the correct drivers from the official website. This is another dump. I usually see the win32k.sys thing when I have BSOD. Which drivers can't you find?
Win32k.sys is a core Windows file. If it's cited in the memory dump, it's probably not the problem. If it was the problem, you'd have a lot more problems with your system other than the BSOD's.
Since this BSOD doesn't give us any significant information, please try running Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Quote: Using Driver Verifier is an iffy proposition. Most times it'll crash and it'll tell you what the driver is. But sometimes it'll crash and won't tell you the driver. Other times it'll crash before you can log in to Windows.
