Thanks Nicklas hi and welcome
you have several problems I feel. I dont think it is memory, but we need to start somehwere.
Can we
Start with event viewer. go to windows log>application tab. Look for errors that say app hang, app crash, etc. Errors have red in the left hand column. You can use the built in snipping tool to make a screen shot, and the attachment icon to upload it. see pics
thanks

I'm not the ultimate answer but if I had what you have I would totally uninstall both programs and start clean.
I would make sure 100% was uninstalled and also us CClean to make sure the HD and Registry is clean of those prorams.
Reboot and check my even logs are looking good.
After that I would verify the programs are good within Windows 7 by checking websites.
Then I would install the most used program first. and do a reboot and check event log and see if I still have a problem. If not I would decide another program to use that may work better with Windows 7
This may sound simplistic but that is the way I think.

Found out someone else had a similiar problem.
Here is their message below.

**************************************************************************
I seem to have stumbled across a fix for my sporeapp.exe hanging, and the game never loads. The problem seems to be that spore is having difficulties with my multiple core CPU computer.
When I force spore to only use 1 cpu to load the game, it launches everytime, without sporeapp.exe hanging.
Before I explain what I had to do to get spore running, I will tell you I am using Windows Vista, Intel Core 2 Quad CPU, and 2 NVIDIA 8800 GTS running in SLI mode.
First thing I had to do was turn off SLI mode on my 2 graphics cards. Apparently there is some kind of bug making Spore not function in SLI mode.
Secondly, I made a shortcut on the desktop to sporeapp.exe since Spore installer didn't do this for me. Another bug.
Thirdly, I went into the properties of the shortcut I had created, and in the field that says "Target:", IN FRONT of the directory listed I put the following information : "C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C start /AFFINITY 1 ". This changes the shortcut to look like a command prompt, but don't worry, that's ok. Now just run the shortcut. It forces the game to run on 1 cpu only instead of all 4, and the game launches every time.
Again, for reference, my full line in the "target:" box now says : "C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C start /AFFINITY 1 D:\Games\SPORE\Sporebin\SporeApp.exe"
D:\games\spore\sporebin is where I told the install to install my game. It's my personal preference, yours may look different.
Give it a shot and let me know if it works for anyone else. This may not work for XP users, I have not tried it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Lenovo Desktop H420 OS Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit) CPU Intel i3 2100 Motherboard Lenovo LGA1155 MB Memory 4GB of DDR3 memory Graphics Card PCI-E NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT Sound Card Build-in on MB Monitor(s) Displays Samsung 23" HD Model 2333 Screen Resolution 1920x 1080 Keyboard Who needs a keyboard? Also, please check Device Manager for ISATAP devices (under Network Adapters) that aren't recognized or have an error condition.
Right click on each of the ISATAP devices and select Uninstall.
They shouldn't come back when you reboot, so don't be worried.
They will respawn if a program needs them - so there's no worry with removing them.
Another suggestion is to remove the .NET framework from your system, reboot, then reinstall it (I recall using this for SideBySide errors a long time ago). | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built (x64), Lenovo x61s Tablet, Samsung Netbook OS Win7 x64 + x86 CPU Intel i7 920, other Intel chips, and the Atom in the netbook Motherboard Asus P6T Deluxe Memory 12 gB; 4 gB Lenovo; 1 gB Samsung netbook Graphics Card ATI 4870 Sound Card Yes, I have one of these Monitor(s) Displays 32" Sharp Aquos TV Screen Resolution 800x600 - I have vision issues Keyboard Microsoft Natural Mouse Logitech Trackman PSU 1000 watt (can't recall the brand) Case Antec 300 Cooling Big honking cooler that was rated highly at Toms Hardware Hard Drives 4 - 150 gB Velociraptors in RAID 5
