Problem with USB devices

Hi,

I am running Windows 7: Ultimate Edition (64 bits) on my home PC.

When I am running iTunes and attempting to upload songs to my iPod (with iPod connected via a USB port), my PC locks up while in the process of transferring the files.

Also, when I connect my external hard drive via a USB port, I experience similar problems when transferring files to and from the hard drive.

Any insight would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Hello, Welcome!

Could you go into Device Manager and confirm that your USB and chipset drivers are up-to-date?

Thanks,
~Jonathan
