Please show us the link that you got the motherboard drivers from.
We'll have a look and will open up the installation package to see what's in it.

This is the link. The CLEVO site is very slow though.

I almost thought I was in the clear yesterday after I didn't get any BSOD's all day....then I got two in a row at then end of the day.... *sob*
Yes, you're right - it is very slow!!!
19 minutes remaining for 2.2 mB (YES!!! mB - not gB!)
I'll be back when it's done.....
These chipset drivers are designed for Win7, so it's OK to install them as they are (double click on setup.exe).
They provide IDE and SATA storage drivers:
Obtained this info from the Readme.txt file in the installation package- IDE/ATA33/ATA66/ATA100 Storage Support
- SATA Storage Support
Thanks for everything usasma. I don't know if it was replacing the drivers, a Windows or software update to something, or what, but I've only had 2 BSOD's in the last 3 days.
Not completely out of the woods yet, but getting there. I'll see how many BSOD's occur over the next week and then probably post up a fresh set of Minidumps to try and finally nail the last of these problems for good.
Thanks again for all your help!
Ugh. The dreaded BSOD's have returned.
Well....they never really went away, but they were infrequent enough to live with. Sometimes I wouldn't get them for 4-5 days at a time.
I just had 4 in the last few hours though.
Looks like we'll have to start at the beginning again. What do you guys recommend I do first?
Latest Minidumps attached....
Hi -
I ran the 5 dumps.
One if the bugchecks = 0x24 (,0x88006c5c6e8,,) = NTFS file system with an exception - 0xc0000005 = memory access violation, i.e. "access denied"
Code:EXCEPTION_RECORD: fffff88006c5c6e8 -- (.exr 0xfffff88006c5c6e8) .exr 0xfffff88006c5c6e8 ExceptionAddress: fffff880012ab806 (Ntfs!TxfCheckForLockConflict+0x00000000000000b6) ExceptionCode: c0000005 (Access violation) ExceptionFlags: 00000000 NumberParameters: 2 Parameter[0]: 0000000000000000 Parameter[1]: 000000000000000f Attempt to read from address 000000000000000f
While not named as a primary probable cause in any of the BSODs, I found the first driver listed mdpmgrnt.sys to be involved in these BSODs as at least a secondary probable cause. The other 2 are listed because they are before Windows 7 RTM's time and IMO relate to the first in some manner -
`Code:MDPMGRNT.SYS Wed Sep 23 15:23:04 2009 (4ABA7598) - MacDrive partition driver/Mediafour Corporation vncmirror.sys Fri Mar 14 13:43:05 2008 (47DAB929) - VNC Mirror driver Tpkd.sys Thu May 21 17:36:18 2009 (4A15C952) - PACE Anti-Piracy, Inc. - InterLok software
My theory is that you have an app installed, possibly involving one of the above drivers that is denying file/ hard drive access to the system. The presence of the 0xc0000005 exception records tell us that the NTFS file system is experiencing such a lock-out.
Usually when a bugcheck 0x24 sufaces, the recommendation is to run chkdsk /r, which you can of course do - but I don't believe it will help in this situation.

Thanks, J.C.
I'm in the process of removing the three applications that those drivers appear to be tied to. I do not need them anyway. We'll see if that helps.
You're welcome... hope that does it for you.
Please post back with results.
