    Explorer.exe crashing whenever I search/right click HDs

Every time I attempt to enter something into the Windows Explorer search bar in the start menu or when browsing folders I get an error stating

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."

A message then pops up for me to restart Windows Explorer. This error also occurs when I right click on one of my hard drives in my computer. I'm running Windows 7 64bit on a Intel C2D 6400 with 6GB RAM

I've tried running a clean boot but that didn't help, any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

Try using System Restore, or you might have to format your computer.

Sounds like you have a corrupt OS install.

Try this free program: ShellExView - Shell Extension Manager For Windows
Disable the non-Microsoft extensions one at a time to see if that helps.
