Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Did you check that all of your drivers are updated (per my other post)?

Some other things to check:
- Power supply wattage, there are calculators online, make sure that your power supply has a high enough wattage for your hardware.
- Try again with all other external devices unplugged
- Is the drive being virus scanned when you are trying to copy from it?
- Do you have any programs installed that copy files automatically from any plugged in usb devices?
- Ensure that Windows has the latest updates (there was a known bug in Vista with slow copying speeds)
- Consider disabling windows Remote Differential Compression. This is in the "Turn Windows Features on or off" area of "Programs an Features", You'll need to untick it.
