Call of Duty 2 Problem

When inserting the Call of Duty 2 disc and clicking 'Autorun' the below message appears. Could anyone possibly help me?

Don't click autorun... click open folder.. then right click on setup and click troubleshoot compatibility... then select program Troubleshoot program - check 1st and 3rd checks... then press next - select windows vista , next again - press start program and Fill your system specs!!!!

Sorry to bother you again but every time I open the program it starts loading then says that it has to close. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

The game is split into two programs one for the single player and one for the multiplayer. The single player works fine but when I click on the multiplayer version this comes up;

Attachment 45073

Any idea as to why this is happening? I tried installing the multiplayer program again the same way as I did for the first but it's still just closing every time.

I found another external thread detailing the same problem but still to no avail;
