Excellent. I will give it a try now.

    Thanks for the advice!

My fingers are crossed, too. Good luck

If errors show up, but the OS is still not repaired, you may have to run it through several more times.

It has been over 16 hours since he logged off.
    I'm starting to worry.

Well, it seemed to do a repair installation, but when I restarted it was the same thing. Only this time, when I logged in under the basic user, my ethernet adapter didn't work. I tried re installing my chipset drivers to get it to work, and I didn't have administrator access, which I didn't think you needed for drivers *shrug*. In a nut shell I lost my patience and trasfered what files I needed to a different partition, formatted and did a fresh install.

This time around I set up users, so everyone in the house doesn't have rights to mess around a whole lot. I seriously doubt Windows decided to do this on its own. How this happened, I will never know. I wish I wouldn't of lost my patience and figured it out.

Once again Thanks Rich and Iggy! Willing people like yourselves make this community a great place!

You made the right choice, both with the Install and keeping unwanted hands out of administrator account. I hope that you get many years enjoyment out of your new OS.
