BSOD on cold boot Hi,
every time I do a cold boot, my computer crashes with bluescreen at exactly the same time, the Windows 7 loading screen. After this, I turn the computer off, than i turn off the power supply and a few seconds later, I turn it on again. If I now start the computer, it will boot without any problems as well as running high performance applications. I never had a bluescreen after this annyoing procedure. EDIT: This error occurs since I've set up the computer.
I tried ram timings from G.Skill support forum, but it doesn't change anything.
So i decided to install Microsofts debugging tool, to analyze the BSOD, and guess what! I really need your help now, because I have no conception of analyzing bluescreens and stuff which comes with it.
My system configuration should be viewable in my profile details.
Excuse my bad English, I tried my best
Thanks in advance! http://paste2.org/p/597245

Thanks in advance! Hi, Welcome to SF,
Could you post your Dump file. Good work on Dump analysis but we need to run a different command to check the drivers. If you could post that we would be glad to help you out.
Thanks,

As far i look the Dump analysis the possible reason could be Memory Corruption
Run the Memory Diagonostic & Hard Driver Diagonstic
So to Start > Run > cmd and Right Click and Run as administrator and Type SFC/ SCANNOW
Hope this helps
Edit: Its OK Mate .. Just try these step.. The power supply is the usual suspect in this type of cold boot problem, especially true when you need to power cycle the power supply in order for it to boot up correctly. If you google around you will see similar complaints about this problem and the cure is usually the same, replace the power supply. If you have another PSU to try that would be helpful.
It's not really a power supply output issue so much as the board getting a low voltage signal on cold start ups and then powering down the system because it was programmed to do so in low voltage situations. Some power supplies have this problem while others don't. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built OS Windows 7 Ult, Windows 8 Pro, CPU Q9650-4.275GHz, E8600 4.5GHz, E6750-3.8GHz Motherboard Evga 780i FTW Memory G.Skill PC2 9600 1200Mhz 5 5 5 15 2T Graphics Card GTX480 Sound Card Asus Xonar D2 Monitor(s) Displays HannsG Screen Resolution 1680X1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU ThermalTake Toughpower 1000Watt modular Case ThermalTake XaserV Cooling Xigmatek S1283 Hard Drives GSkill Phoenix Pro 120GB SSD Internet Speed T1 |

Capt Jack means that sometimes when you use incorrect memory settings or unmatched memory you can sometimes corrupt the files on your Op system harddrives because improper instructions were written to it when the memory was messed up. Using sfc/scannow will usually fix those corrupted files for you. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built OS Windows 7 Ult, Windows 8 Pro, CPU Q9650-4.275GHz, E8600 4.5GHz, E6750-3.8GHz Motherboard Evga 780i FTW Memory G.Skill PC2 9600 1200Mhz 5 5 5 15 2T Graphics Card GTX480 Sound Card Asus Xonar D2 Monitor(s) Displays HannsG Screen Resolution 1680X1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU ThermalTake Toughpower 1000Watt modular Case ThermalTake XaserV Cooling Xigmatek S1283 Hard Drives GSkill Phoenix Pro 120GB SSD Internet Speed T1 |

That is cutting it kinda close with your GTX285 although it may be enough power it's hard to say. Most of the PSU manufactures are aware of the cold boot problem with i7 boards and certain power supplies so you might try and contact them to see if they will exchange or upgrade you to a more compatible model. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built OS Windows 7 Ult, Windows 8 Pro, CPU Q9650-4.275GHz, E8600 4.5GHz, E6750-3.8GHz Motherboard Evga 780i FTW Memory G.Skill PC2 9600 1200Mhz 5 5 5 15 2T Graphics Card GTX480 Sound Card Asus Xonar D2 Monitor(s) Displays HannsG Screen Resolution 1680X1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU ThermalTake Toughpower 1000Watt modular Case ThermalTake XaserV Cooling Xigmatek S1283 Hard Drives GSkill Phoenix Pro 120GB SSD Internet Speed T1 |

Pwer Supply you need a better power supply the minimum watts on that card is 550 and that PSU only has 18 amp +12 rails which just is not enough
the PSU makers need to wake up and quit selling these multi rail underpowered PSU units they are fine for an "average" computer but not for high draw gaming hardware | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit CPU AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Overclocked to 3.0Ghz Motherboard Biostar TF560 A2+ Memory 2 Gigs of G.Skill DDR2 800 Graphics Card HIS ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro With IceQ cooler Sound Card 6.1 Channel Sound Blaster Live 24 Bit Monitor(s) Displays Dual 20.5 " LG Flatrons W2052TO Screen Resolution 1152x864 Keyboard Saitek Eclipse II Mouse A4Tech wireless battery free optical scroll mouse PSU 430 watt Seasonic 80%+ Dual 12v Rails 2x80mm fans Case CHIEFMAX YA-5X Cooling 4-80mm case fans 1-140mm case fan freezer 64 Pro CPU cooler Hard Drives Dual 36 Gig 10,000 RPM Raptors Internet Speed 1.5 meg down 384 up Other Info Logisys LED fan/light controller and dual 16" LED sticks mounted inside top of case all fans are LED all lighting is blue
