windows 7 64bit random restarts at idle (BSOD)

Please provide the MSINFO32 report as requested.

I had this very same problem and am sure it is something to do with task scheduler in Windows 7

I was getting minimum 1 restart every day, sometimes 2-3. Rarely when the computer was under load, usually just dragging a window, idle etc.

I went through all the startup programmes (configuration - msinfo) and deleted anything not related to windows or antivirus ie proprietory stuff like ATI CustomerService etc. I also went through task scheduler and deleted scheduled tasks not directly related to windows, like check for programme updates (google chrome for example) You may need to do quick trawl of the web to check what does what and delete it if unecessary.

This solved my problem and no restarts for 2 weeks and counting. I wish I could tell you which one did the trick but I didn't have the patience to go through each one by one.
