help help!! keyboard bug, even in bios

    Hey everybody,

I stumbled upon 4 spywares/viruses yesterday on the laptop and Avira, the anti-virus program, detected them, so I "denied access" for those. It seemed they still ate the way through my laptop.

The problem I'm having now is that my keyboard types random characters. For example, if I press "k", "\svmf" would come out. Ran a few scans, no detections. I gave up and ended up formatting.

Upon initial installation settings of Win7, it asked me to type in a name for my laptop...and there the problem with the keyboard was again!!! (I'm sure I did a clear installation)...

I then formatted it again with the preinstalled VAIO formatter on the preserved partition. And even then, the problem persisted in XP.

I have the same problem with BIOS, F2 and F8. I can't navigate through those options properly because the keyboard doesn't play along. What in the world happened to it?!
Additional info: after the virus infected my laptop, the typing was fine until I accidentally stepped on the plug and it lost power. When I started it up again, I couldn't type in my password properly. Could it be hardware failure? I mean all the keys work just fine, but they just spit out random isht...

In my 23 years I've never seen anything like this!
Please help me...super desperate now...thank you!

    Function Keys

I have seen this happen when a function or hot key has been pressed by accident

This sounds like a hardware failure to me...try an external keyboard.

whoa whoa whoa... i got this fixed by some kind of miracle... was about to give up!

The virus apparently installed itself onto either my USB bluetooth dongle (if it has any sort of memory) or my memory stick... took them both out and had really no hope when i restarted the laptop, but that worked!
