stupid question...
Have you updated any drivers at all or are you on default installed drivers from the OS?

Typical causes of freezing can be narrowed down to faulty drivers or corruption, bad ram or to many devices sharing the same IRQ's.
I had updated my motherboard and video card drivers, neither of those fixed it. And no I haven't tried the 32-bit version, I don't have the one. Do you know of any company that will fix this? Like Geek squad? I've wasted too many hours on this, I simply can't fix it myself.

Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit

when you go the EVGA site and look for drivers for your EVGA 790i FTW board for Windows 7 there is only one driver listed which is a beta driver and I believe is the chipset driver here is the link anyway I think you have put yourself in a tuff spot in that you are running Windows 7 and using the 64 bit version on top of that so you have put yourself way ahead of the actual availability of stable drivers for the latest and greatest.

I have a feeling also that you do not have your Bios configured correctly you can't just slap parts together and run an OS install first you must understand your board Bios and make sure you have it setup correctly including voltage adjustments a lot of time Bios settings that are set to auto which you would think would be ok are not especially on a high end board they are built for tweakers if I were you I would call EVGA support on the phone and have someone there walk you through the Bios settings to make sure they are correct and try a reinstall again after making any corrections

Once this happens, it seems me processor skyrockets up to 70-80% and then freezing every 1-2 minutes...
