Windows 7 Freezes at Desktop
After much struggle I finally managed to install windows 7 on my computer. Now, I am running into a whole new ball park of trouble. After Windows 7 loads, and gets to the desktop it quickly frezzes. I am still able to move the cursor around on the screen, but this is the extent of my control.
If I wait for 10-15minutes I normal regain control of windows for several seconds where I can open programs etc. After maybe a 30econd period if I am lucky, it returns back the the frozen state where I am only able to move my cursor.
My concern is that I might be having hardware compatibility issues? Has this been a common problem? The same DvD has successfully installed on other computers, it just seems to run onto problems with mine.
After installing, through the peaks where I have control of windows I have managed to install both my Motherboard and Video Card drivers (Motherboard might have not been finished because it froze during installation)
Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated. I have now been fighing with windows 7 for around 4-5days after reformatting my computer and am getting more and more tempted just to install XP again!
Video Card: Radon 4830
Mother Board: Asus M3R32-MVP
Ram: 2GB DDR2 OZZ 667MHZ
Hard Drive: 250GB Sata
Power Supply 550watt
