Can you use Restorator to change theses settings back?

Tbh you seem to have some pretty serious problems there if you can't run system restore. Have you tried running system restore by booting off the windows dvd?

It might be quicker to backup all your data and do a clean install. I don't know what Resorator does exactly but it sounds dangerous.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

hmmm in this case its better if you take the explorer to factory shipping date ie do a ie reset by dng the followng ie
IE- tools - internet options - advanced - reset

by dng this step you are taking ie to its original settings and it would act better...

I would first try sfc /scannow from a command prompt and see if that fixes it..if not, run a repair install from your windows 7 disc... Let us know how it comes out..
