    dllhost.exe crash / com surrogate

    Hi there,
First off I'm loving windows 7, except for one problem.

Whenever I do certain things for example click personalise the desktop / click properties of my computer / using the control panel.. and possibly others.

    its pops up saying:

    Runtime Error!

    Program: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\DllHost.exe

    - upon clicking ok to this

It then gives me a message about COM Surrogate has stopped working.

I can get past them both my clicking ok / cancel twice.
    buts its become quite annoying..

Anyone come across this error? or better yet a fix?

    btw I'm running 64bit build 6801

ive heard photoshop and nero have caused that error in quite a few forums. both those apps use the .net framework, dont know if that makes a diff

That must be it. I have CS3 installed on it. I'll uninstall and see how that helps.

Wait, are you installing it on Server 2008? ive heard people trying it, hasnt turned out too well, you might have some success installing it on XP or Vista, and copy the folder to your server install :-P

Nope, it was on the 6801 x64.

I do have it installed on one of my Server 2008 x64, and it doesn't have any issues at all.
