    hello...

I've installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my Acer 4540 laptop and have downloaded several updates.. but windows 7 always BSOD...

I've run windows memory diagnostic, extended test, cache on over 27 passes and it's said "No Problem was detected"
I've also run memtest86+ over night and it's not giving me any errors??

    my specification is...

    GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon HD4200
    Memory: 2 x 2GB DDR2
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit Build 7600.20576

    here's the memory dump...

please help me... if there's any solution...
I'm currently working on this laptop and my deadline project is near...
and sorry for my bad English....

    Hi and welcome

More than half of these were caused by your video driver. The remaining may well also be caused by the viideo driver but were not sepcific

They are all caused by a driver. You have several listed below that are over 2 years old and should be updated.

    I would
    update the dreivers,
download a fresh videi driver and install it
    run a system file check
type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow

    Let us know the results.

    If you are overclocking STOP

I'm not overclocking... Nor the undervolting the cpu..
I've searched the vga at acer site and there's no new update...
windows update didn't detect new update for the vga driver...

hmm.. I wonder for driver that outdated, what driver is it???

I'll try to run system check...

Perhaps that unoffical patch has anything to do with it? Do clean install of Win7 RTM, and install the necessary drivers only from the Acer DVD, namely Atheros Wifi, chichony cam, realtek card reader, dritek launch manager, ati vga, realtek audio, and see how it goes.

Also try with 2GB RAM only in case that would make any difference.

Theres a quite recent one at the ati/amd support pages, check it out

If your still having probs then try the display driver on its own (second download button on the page)

I have a recently-acquired Acer Aspire 4535 (almost-near your system specs) --- installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit, and am running into the same errors as well. Updated (after much trial-and-error) the video drivers to Catalyst 10.7 (the latest one) and I still get it.

Hey Rezandis, what exactly would this change in the system if I set it to IDE mode?
