Windows Explorer has stopped working crash

Hi all, I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and I'm having the following issue, whenever I hover over one of the open pinned taskbar items, right before the thumbnail preview appears I get the "Windows Explorer has stopped working" error followed by the "Windows Explorer is restarting...". When I switch my theme to basic instead of Aero, it works fine and I've read there are ways to turn it off when using the Aero theme, however this is a feature I would like to use. Here are the full log details:

Faulting application name: explorer.exe, version: 6.1.7600.16404, time stamp: 0x4a765771
Faulting module name: explorer.exe, version: 6.1.7600.16404, time stamp: 0x4a765771
    Exception code: 0xc000041d
    Fault offset: 0x00000000000ac00b
    Faulting process id: 0xd70
    Faulting application start time: 0x01ca999116acb325
    Faulting application path: C:\Windows\explorer.exe
    Faulting module path: C:\Windows\explorer.exe
    Report Id: 8fcd5c9d-0584-11df-8580-0019d11d2198

I am using a GeForce 8800gt, and have a strong suspicion that it is the culprit based on other threads I've read. I have tried both older and the newest drivers but the problem still persists.

If anyone has had this problem or know of a way to solve it without having to disable the thumbnail preview feature please let me know.
