    Event ID 10 Error 0x80041003

    Hello everyone.

Please excuse my ignorance as I am not that technically adept. I have concerns over these recurring error messages on my new PC.

I have searched and searched for a fix; there are just so many out there and they all appear to stem from different causes; I do not have a clue what is causing them.

Also I keep getting a "Task Host Window Error" at shutdown. Researching that led to me to find the ID 10 error in the event log. I have never put anything but genuine software on my PC 's for 15 years and always use a good anti virus.

    Please help.

Many thanks in anticipation of any help available.

    dan.

    Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to help - I will see what I can find out!

    dan

    Edit:

Thanks, I have read these already. That was my point - I don't think it is a worm as I tried the msconfig trick and it did not shutdown. Also, I am very secutity conscious and the PC is nearly Brand new.

There are loads of events detailing this error on my system! And so many opinions online as to what it could be - but no definitive fix.

I am not comfortable running scripts etc without detailed instructions; I don't even know how to run a script actually!

    Shall keep looking!

    Thanks, dan.
