Windows Explorer crashes when I try to look in my HDD!

My storage drive which I hold my movies, music and shows for some reason always crashes since this morning. When I want to go look in Windows Explorer crashes (not Internet Explorer). "Windows Explorer has stopped working" "...trying to find a solution... restarting Explorer". It doesn't reset my computer which I am thankful for, it just closes the window. It is only with this hard drive and I seem to be able to run things FROM the hard drive (such as running videos already on stream through TVersity, music in iTunes), I just cant 'explore' the hard drive myself. It is really annoying because I need to be able to sort all the stuff out. Such as placing new torrents in my stream files and editing them and such. Please help and thanks so much.

    Hi sonic and welcome

we need to do some digging to find the cause
can you type eventvwr in search? go to the windows logs>application tab.

You need to look for critical errors (they have red in the left column) that say app hang, app crash, etc.

when you find them use the built in snipping tool (type snipping in search) to make a screen shot of them and the attachment icon (shaped like a paper clip) in the reply form to upload them

    See pics

I hope this helps. There is a long list however with a few errors. I would assume most are just from me trying to open the damn HDD. Thanks for all your help.

It is definitely the "Application Error" I just tried again, noting the time of trying to open/crash.
