    Windows 7 64bit Startup Problems

I just built a new computer and I am having very weird problems that I can not figure out.

Whenever i leave my computer off for a long period of time and turn it on it will repeatedly crash at start up resetting over and over again. Whenever I attempt to use start up repair I get the error:

The instructions at 0xfada5046 refrenced memory at 0xface7f80 the memory can not be read.

    preventing me from repairing.

If I turn off my computer manually and start my computer the problem always goes away and I am able to start normally.

When I run my computer it is perfect, great bench marks etc.

I have run memory diagnostic from Microsoft and it reported no errors.

The version of windows 64 I'm using is an upgrade if that matters.

    Welcome!

I would suggest opening an elevated command prompt and running the command sfc /scannow.

Also, could you check the directory C:\Windows\Minidump to see if any dmp files have been created? If so, please stick them in a zip or rar folder, and upload it to your next post.

    Thanks,

I can not locate the mini dump folder. Is there another place I might be able to find the minidump?

I ran the command sfc /scannow it didn't find anything wrong.

Also I ran a memory diagnostic check from my windows 7 install disc and It restarted without showing me any results. The memory diagnostic mtinst.exe from Microsoft returned good results though.

I re-upgraded windows 7 hoping that might solve the problem.

However the problem still persists when I start my computer it will not start but if I shutdown and than start it again the second time it will work fine. It will continue to reboot fine unless I leave it off for a long period of time.

Try searching for minidump in the start menu. If the files exist, they will show up.

That means no dmp files were created. Have you tried running Memtest86 at all? It should be run at least 5 passes.

I'm using a 5850 Radeon graphics card as well. Maybe it is a Driver issue with Windows 7 and Ati.

As soon as I get a disc to burn on I'll try the mem test. Thanks for the help.

Ran memory test and my memory passed.

Any other suggestions? If its not memory would be most likely that its the OS?
