Computer will not start
This probably isnt a Windows 7 problem, but last time I came to these forums everyone was extremely helpful so I'm hoping yall can give me a general ideal of what is wrong with my computer.
To start off I just had a new hard-drive installed into my computer, the problem I had last time I was on the forums was that Windows 7 wouldn't install and it turned out to be a fried hard-drive (not sure why it decided to crash the second I started installing Windows 7, but had a warranty on the comp so no big deal).
It's been roughly a month since I've had my new HD installed, and while I was browsing the internet the computer just shut off. When I tried to turn the computer back on it wouldn't. The lights in the back are on so I know that it is getting power, but the power light up front isn't responding, and the computer doesnt make any of the sounds that come with turning it on (fans arent going, HD not loading).
It was plugged into a surge protecter and I've tried plugging it into different plugs, but nothing is working.
So I'm just trying to get an ideal of what I need to replace, is it the hard drive since nothing is coming on, even the power light, even though the computer has power (ethernet connection is lit up).
Once again, thanks for yalls time. I know this probably isnt Windows 7's fault, but everyone was helpful in the past so I figured I would give these forums another shot. Thanks in advance.
