My windows suddenly stops... Hello guys. Here's my strange problem. So i was with Windows Vista and i was browsing the internet when suddenly the computer stops working.I mean my mouse stops working, my keyboard and the OS too.The lights of the keyboard (caps lock, num lock) turned off.The laser of my mouse too.The windows stops completely too.It stays there like a picture.I mean even the emoticons werent moving (hope you understand me ).So i decided this was some virus and i put a fresh copy of windows seven.Everything was good, but then after 20 minutes (i was installing some players and antivirus program) it happened again I cant explain this.Hope you guys help me.I bet its some kind of hardware problem. Thanks in advance, guys | My System Specs |

Welcome!
This is certainly a hardware problem. What brand hard drive do you have? I would recommend going to the manufacturer's site and looking for their advanced disk diagnostic tools.
Also, you should probably test your RAM. Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn it to a CD using the Windows ISO-burning tool. Then boot up the CD and run at least 5 passes.
Hope we can get this figured out!

On addition to that post us the MSINFO32 file Quote: MSINFO32 Please go to Start and type in "msinfo32.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Save the report as an .nfo file, then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
If you're having difficulties with the format, please open an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt and type "msinfo32 /nfo C:\Users\Public\Desktop\TEST.NFO\" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Then navigate to the C:\Users\Public\Desktop directory to retrieve the TEST.NFO file. If you have difficulties with making this work, please post back. Good Luck,

Let's try to test your other hardware. Try removing all unnecessary hardware from your computer, like hard drives, video cards, USB devices, etc. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU Intel i7 2600K OC'd @ 4620 MHz Motherboard Asus P8Z68-V Pro Memory 16GB GSkill Sniper 2133 Mhz (4x4GB) Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX 480 SuperClocked+ Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays 2x Acer S273HLbmii 27" Screen Resolution 2 x 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech MK320 (wireless) Mouse Logitech MK320 (wireless) PSU Corsair HW Series 750w (modular) Case Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Blue Edition Cooling CM Hyper 212+ CPU cooler, 3x 230mm + 1x 140mm case fans Hard Drives 64GB Crucial M4 SSD

I take it you only have 1 hard drive. If you had another one you were using, that's when my suggestion would be applicable.
Still go ahead and unplug all the other unnecessary hardware. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU Intel i7 2600K OC'd @ 4620 MHz Motherboard Asus P8Z68-V Pro Memory 16GB GSkill Sniper 2133 Mhz (4x4GB) Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX 480 SuperClocked+ Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays 2x Acer S273HLbmii 27" Screen Resolution 2 x 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech MK320 (wireless) Mouse Logitech MK320 (wireless) PSU Corsair HW Series 750w (modular) Case Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Blue Edition Cooling CM Hyper 212+ CPU cooler, 3x 230mm + 1x 140mm case fans Hard Drives 64GB Crucial M4 SSD
