Windows 7: Blank screen when starting windows

The problem started a few days ago where I start up my laptop and it will do one of two things, either come up with a black screen with nothing on it (sometimes just the cursor) or stay on the 'Welcome' screen for ages pretending it's loading.

It gets past the booting screens, just the Windows part of things is where it has trouble, i've had a Blue Screen come up once and i've added the error message below. I've also attached the .dmp file that it mentions in the message if anybody could look at this.

Im using 32 bit Windows Seven and have just added an extra gig of ram, unsure if this is anything to do with it. When I removed this extra RAM the problem persisted.

I would really appreciate it if anybody could help me out as it's getting frustrating.

Chris, it is very possible the RAM module is bad, and messing something up, though it is interesting it persisted after removal.

Lets try running MemTest with each RAM module:

Also, hit start and go to command prompt (right click, run as admin) and type: Check your RAM

sfc /scannow
