Windows 7: Random Crashes

Random Crashes

Hello all,

I have a recently upgraded 7 box that keeps crashing at random. I can't seem to correlate any event to the crashes. It has crashed in the middle of the night, surfing, writing word docs, on sleep mode. When it crashes, it completely power cycles and reboots. The event logs don't reveal too much other than "previous shutdown was unexpected". I ran a debug against the MEMORY.DMP file and I can't tell much other than it looks to be a hardware conflict. I believe I have the most updated drivers for all hardware possible. The Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox also indicates I have the latest drivers as well. Attached is also the system specs for reference. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin

the majority of these crashes were caused by your atheros wifi driver ( athr.sys). You also have drivers that are over 2 years old

I would dl a fresh copy of the wifi driver and install it
update all the drivers listed below
run a system file check
(type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow

If you are overclocking stop

:et us know if you need help
