BSOD occasionally, freeze 1-2 times a day
Long history with this issue. My machine basically freezes, all video stays the same, audio stop and it just 'hangs' like that until I manually hold the power switch. This happens about 1 to 2 times a day, depending on how long it has been on. It is NOT heat related, as it can happen 1 minute into computer on time, or 10 hours later. I get a few BSODs here and there and they are attached in accompanying .zip. But the freezes are WAY more prevalent.
I have done MANY things to remedy, including clean driver installs, memory tests and everything I can think of. I am very technical, I am just looking for a 'glaring' finger on the nose kind of issue here. I just basically have not done a full OS re-install, as this is very arduous and difficult given my current setup and software.
I suspect my Video card, as there are similar posts of Zotac cards freezing a machine. I went through their tech support, and the tech said "there is no issue since it ran fine during a benchmark". Haha, I have never heard something so ridiculous in my life. I am a software developer with kernel experience (not enough to WinDbg and crash dump analysis) and responses like that make me discredit a company.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
