windows explorer not responding

    windows explorer not responding


    hi
    this is manoj
    i m using windows7 home premium (x64) OS and currently having a problem with its explorer
    while i keep on surfing net, or doing other task like watching movies, writing doc. etc then ocationally my windows stops responding and displays "windows explorer has stopped working" and then i have to either restart explorer or close it. it shows cheking for solutions online, but in vain after sometimes it again happens the same.
    please help me about this problem

    If yes, then check with the safe Mode of the computer, i mean check with restarting the computer under Safe mode

    Hello Manoj Welcome to SF,

    I suspect it might be the Context Menu. Download ShellExView

    The rule is to disable non-Microsoft context menu handlers *one-by-one* and verify if the problem is solved. If disabling one does not solve the problem, undo the disabled item and disable the next non-Microsoft handler. Do the same until the problem is solved and finally identify the culprit. Scroll right to see the Company Name column in ShellExView.
