Windows 7 DVD Maker stopped working

Hello.
Windows DVD maker stopped working and never worked from day 1
I have a acer desktop computer and i installed windows 7 soon as i got my new computer .
I make animated cartoons and videos but i am confussed because i would love to make DVDs with my stuff on.
1st of all i select the video files i want to put on the dvd as normal.
Then select Next! I then get the following message: Windows DVD Maker has stopped Working, Windows is checking for a solution to the problem.
Then program resets or closes

It never resolved itself and i want to be able to make DVDs of my creations.
This is a Bad introduction to windows 7 and my new pc.
Is it windows thats the problem or my acer desktop pc?
I will be very greatful if anybody can help me resolve this thanx.

Which version of Windows 7 (home, pro, ult, upgrade or full?) and where did you acquire it?

My windows 7 can goto heaven

Im running windows 7 home. I was sent a windows 7 from Acer because i buyed my pc when it was out. and when i registered my details they sent me the software to install over my defalt windows vista.
I have just done the registry scan and had 265 errors
I should not have to buy software because my computer didnt work correctly out the box.
Maybe i should revert back to windows vista i guess!
thanks for ya advice

NO! Dont go back to Vista!!!

Your issue is probably due to the fact that Movie Maker in Windows 7 is different than in Vista. If you want to do a clean install using that upgrade disc you received from Acer try this... Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version
