    unfortunately it's not

presumably this is where you tried to attach it

try click the paperclip then choose your file then upload it , close the window and click the paperclip again and your screenshot will be there Attachment 58623 click it and it will appear in the body of your message surrounded by the ATTACH brackets

Then I would likely suspect the RAM even in the case it would not fail a memtest. ram-mobo compatiblity issue ? I doubt your cpu is in cause.

Your PSU however, is something you must not neglect.

What is your PSU model and how much ampere can it deliver and is it single rail ?
Well, I took it into the computer shop - it will be a week because so many peope keep faling for the "Your computer is infected" scam. I was in there as one guy tried to explain he did not know why it happened, but admitted thathe did not have any antivirus on his machine!!!!

Anyway - the tech believes it may be the voltage regulation, klike many of you suggested, but there is something about having to regulate each core if the phenom processor. We will see.

In the meantime, I seem to have a spare, fairly high-end Gigabyte board on my hands!!! I will either try to sell it or build another computer - I have enough parts - I just need a power supply and a decent case.

I will update all of you

I beliver I did exactly what you said - hit the paperclip, and uploaded. Unfortunately, the machine is in the shop so there is no way of doing this now.
However, thank you for your help and offers - it is much appreciated.
