Windows 7 freezes soon after I get to the desktop Hi.
I haven't had this problem earlier. Since about a month ago, I have to restart my computer twice. Every time I restart, without exception, my computer freezes about 20 seconds after it gets to the desktop.
I have to hold down the power button until my computer turns off and turn it back on. Then my computer works perfectly, with absolutely no hitches.
I hadn't installed anything new then, it just started happening. It's not malware, since I scanned my computer with ZoneAlarm and MSE and nothing was found.
tl;dr I have to restart my computer twice, because it freezes soon after it gets to the desktop the first time. | My System Specs |

Try to Reboot the System in Selective Startup see whether that makes any difference

Good Luck,
Captain Thanks! That worked perfectly. I just disabled a bunch of unneeded services in msconfig to get the job done. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 SP1 x64 CPU Intel Core i5-750 2.66GHz Motherboard ASUS P7P55D Memory Corsair 2x2GB DDR3 Graphics Card Sapphire ATi Radeon HD 5870 Sound Card Sound Blaster Audigy SE Monitor(s) Displays Dual monitor (BenQ G2420HD, BenQ G2420HDB) Screen Resolution 1920x1080, 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech Illuminated Keyboard Mouse Logitech MX518 PSU Cooler Master GX Series 750W ATX Case Advanced Case by Tracer Cooling Scythe MUGEN 2 Hard Drives Western Digital Caviar Blue 640GB (SATA)
