Windows 7 x64 Freeze started happening again

Hope I can get some guidance from the community. I had some freeze issues in the past and they were pointing to a Network Adapter driver. Since then I have updated the driver - Realtek PCI GBE Family Controller - with the Rt64win7.sys driver (ver. 7.011.1127.2009 built by WinDDK). Everything was going well - would still have a few freezes especially overnight.

Lately though - it has started freezing randomly and I don't get a Minidump. I have to cold reboot my machine and no way for me to take a dump of any program that might be hung. I have inserted an error message from the event log - hopefully someone can point what is happening - is it still the network adapter?

I got several of the Event 7001, Service Control Manager errors, after which I started getting these DistributedCOM errors:

Any ideas? I am clueless as to what might be going wrong.

    Thanks in advance!

    Windows 7 x64 Freeze (Fixed)!

I think I might have fixed the problem I was facing with the regular freezes that kept increasing in frequency. I had ZoneAlarm Pro installed (I believe it was the 9.1.xxx version). Once I uninstalled it, turned on the built-in Firewall and installed Microsoft Security Essentials, my problems seem to have gone away!

Not sure if this helps anyone, but thought of posting to the forum just in case someone else has a similar problem/issue.
