BSOD: system isn't saving the dump files anymore

I've had several BSOD stops lately (been working on finding the problem for some time) but haven't had a new memory.dmp or minidump file saved since 2/23. As far as I can tell, the settings are correct. Any ideas what's causing this? Hard to upload the current dump files when there aren't any!

Are the setting in system control panel set like this?

Yep, those are the 'settings' I was talking about! I've been allowing the auto restart, but I'm beginning to think that's a bad idea.

Restart may be a bad idea because the dmp may not be finished writing before restart. that would kill the dmp file. Let us know. we can force it to write if it is necessary.

    good luck

It APPEARS to be finished writing the dmp file (gets to 100% and there's a few seconds pause before the restart) I'll stop the auto restart for now and let you know after the next one!

UPDATE: Still no new dump files

Just recovered from the latest BSOD. Waited until it indicated it was done writing and told me to contact my tech support. Still no memory.dmp file since 2/23. any other ideas what's going on?
    thx!

    Solved?

I'm gonna close this one out as solved. HP tech support had me reload the OS and it's saving the dump files again. (Still BSOD though, that's another issue. At least I can look at and upload the dump files to get help!)
