    The Hewlett Packard Incident

Hello I am new, thank you for reading this post and your time.:)

Today I was receiving Chat-Support from HP (Hewlett Packard) and they told me to download this "Support Console", I download it and it suddenly freezes (The taskbar) and since I couldn't turn off the computer by command-means, I had to do it by manual means. When I restart my computer just to tell the Hewlett Packard technician what his software did to my laptop, The computer turns on normally, after the "Windows Is Starting Up" Message, I get a blue screen and the "Configuring Windows,Please Wait" I am like: whaaat..? , then a message changes to "Could not configure Windows Updates, Reverting Changes, Please do not turn off computer.." I went to class at 2:30 and returned at 4:30.. still it was like that, So now I can only run my computer in safe-mode.
    All thanks to Hewlett Packard.

    Any help?

Try to delete the whole thing in safe mode. This HP support console is useless anyhow.

Yeah, it is probably all srewed up because it did not install correctly in the first place. Good thing is that the system writes a shadow (restore point) before it installs anything. I would set the system back to that restore point. If nothing else, with a repair operation using your installation disk.

Unfortunately system restore plays those tricks at times. I am sure there is at least that one restore point. But if you cannot get at it, that does not help. That is why I always preach imaging. Then one is more independent of the system malfunction. Maybe you want to consider that for the future.
But with the situation at hand, you might try startup repair. Maybe it can do something for you.

A Windows Recovery DVD, That. I believe. To fix Windows System?
or restore factory settings, As I believe that I will need to restore it to factory default... ?
Because, the "Configuring Windows..." ,"Failure Configuring Windows Updates", Why does my windows need to configure..... Would the DVD Restore fix Windows 7?????
