    will i lose all my programs and files?

    how do i do that?

    its been two days and no BSOD so far
      My Computer

    you should not but do a backup first

    to run a system file check type cmd in search. Theen right click the window and run as admin. type sfc /swcannow.
    even if you dont have any more BSOD's you should still have a backup

    Careful for the typos. It should be sfc /scannow.

    I ran the sfc/scannow at i have had one BSOD in 5 days.

    Should i run another one or do the repair install?

    Well running the sfc /scannow again never hurts. Sometimes it fixes more files the next time.

    If that doesn't work, I'd advise a Repair Install.

    Still plagued by BSOD's so i'm running a repair install. i'll let you know what happens

    Hey guys.....here i am again haha

    Did the sfc/scannow and the Repair Install

    got this dmp file today

    Please help this is so frustrating

    Like my friend Ken said earlier, you may need to do a Repair Install. No, you will not lose your programs or data. You may notice certain things are reset, like Internet Explorer, but not too big a deal.

    I did run the repair install and these dmp files came up after i did the repair install.

    Do it again??? Thanks

    I don't think the repair install will delete the old dmp files. If you want, you can delete them all now.

    Do you mean that you have gotten more BSODs since the repair?
