    Really need help

ok well the other day my PC was working fine, i started a game and then loaded a save thats when it crashed ans when I held the power button to restart I got this missed up screen. when I boot up into windows it gives me this really ugly 8bit looking color scheme.

I tried disconnecting the hard drives to see if it was a corrupt os but i still got the missed up screen & bios. words are misspelled & theres these weired thing all over the screen.

I have tried clearing the coms but that didn't work, could this maybe a corrupt bio's?

other than that I have no clue what it could be, not sure if this it the right board but i put this here since it said crashes.

Here are some pictures of what I get (sorry I had a hard time getting stable pics)

Do I understand correctly that you can not get past the bios power-on self-test?

Or did you choose to go to that bios screen?

I'm trying to determine if your Win7 even boots up?

I gather you have been experimenting, looking for a solution. Could you put the system back to the state the computer was in when you first used the computer?

If you've been trying to overclock, then cease and desist. If you've been playing around with the voltages, then cease and desist. Return all to the original state.

Did you have any reason for thinking that the hard disk was the source of the problem?

If this is a relatively new system, then a malfunctioning hard drive is very unusual.

We must keep it simple Sam to get you up and running again.

I can get past the bios screen & boot into windows only the color and resolution are all messed up.

I haven't been overclocking or anything like that, built this system around 2+ years ago & its been running fine.

No real reason to suspect the hard drive other than thinking it might be a corrupt OS & just wanting to rule it out as the problem.

That does make a little sense, my PC did crash one other time when I was playing a game but I restarted & nothing wrong was there. but would a failing video card cause text to be misspelled like its shown in the pictures?

If you have a spare display adapter... well, we'll never know unless you test it with something that's 100% working... my 8 years experience telling me it's a dying display adapter, but I can be wrong... :)

Is there a way to test this theory while only having one video card? Im not sure if you can start a PC without a video card, can I? I've never tried it.

Thanks for everyone's help, I fixed my comp. It turned out my old 8800gt broke somehow and that was what was causing my problems. Anyway got a new card & every things good now.
