Im running windows 7 ultimate 64bit and am having trouble with it crashing. I'm usually just browsing through files or on the internet and it will lock up requiring a hard shutdown. I checked my crash logs and it says:

The STOP 0x117 error is similar to the STOP 0x116 error - and you use similar methods to troubleshoot it ( )

Unplug the system, open the case and check to ensure that the coolers are clear of lint/hairballs.
Plug the system in to check that all the fans are working (KEEP HANDS OUT OF THE CASE!!!)
Remove the current video drivers, download the latest drivers from Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers and install them.

If this still doesn't help, then try another video card.

Good luck!
