If you had read the post in this thread you'd see that instructions and request to validate the hardware has already been ask! I consider your post (particularity from an MVP) to be rude and obnoxious.

The concept that troubleshooting what's assumed to be a software issue without proving the hardware not only makes no sense, it's a waste of all contributors time.

With that said, best to you...

Edit: In an effort to avoid any rules issues, I'd be glad to discuss this in a PM if you feel the need.

win7clutz and jcgriff2 , i am not the sharpest tool in the box when it comes to solving pc problems ,that is why i am getting the op to go through things systematically , my own personnal opinion is a faulty mobo but i dont want to say yes the mobo is duff and then find out that its the graphics card at fault, the OP has spent a lot of hard earned money on his pride and joy and i want to do the best i can for him, so please lets not fall out over this, life is too short , thank you

    Hi.

I'm not posting this to have a go, but $1500 might have been better spent getting someone else to build it for you, because having to ask what thermal paste is shows you lack the knowledge, imo, to attempt building a PC on your own.

I hope you get the issue fixed, but having read this thread from start to finish, would suggest you take it to a shop and let a Professional take a look at it.

That's kind of what I had in mind, in regards to not being knowledgeable enough. But lets hope it's something simple, otherwise it could turn out to be a very expensive lesson.

    BSOD

I have not had any BSOD for 2 days now. I have my 2 sticks of RAM in slots 2 and 4 I guess my slot 3 is bad. I have not put any of the Thermal paste on there yet as for I am still waiting for it. So I guess I will take everything out and do a bench build now that I have a space to do it just to make sure that everything is grounded right. Then after that I guess I will RMA my motherboard.

good for you dmcouch, glad it proved to be the mobo , it should still be in warannty, but if you are happy running in the 2 slots that are working and do not intend to run all 4 slots and you do not get any more bsods you could always hang on to the mobo

    I agree with you 100%

What an interesting thread. Can't believe I just read through all 9 pages...

    Edit

Strange. No one mentioned anything about the timings on the RAM. I've had countless BSOD's due to wrong timings/voltages set on memory.

However, I think that will lead to another 9 pages of repeating the same thing over and over .

    Rude People

    To all you rude people,

I know some of your guys think you know it all but you don't. I know this is my first build, but you have to remember something you had a first build too. I am sorry if have wasted any of your time. I sincerely appreciate all the help I have gotten and will take this experience as a learning one. Those of you that made rude and off the wall comments need to remember there are people that try to better themselves and rude comments and put people down does not help there self esteem what so ever. Just try to be more tactful with your comments from now on if you don't want to help someone don't.
