Bad_pool_caller bsod So my boss laptop crashed this morning. It does not boot. After windows logo, it produces the BSOD with BAD_POOL_CALLER. It can't go into safe mode ( same thing ) nor will it boot with ERD commander. There are no minidumps, just a memory.dmp
Can that be analyzed the same way as minidump.dmp? Currently have his hard drive slaved to mine and copying off some data. chkdsk /r?
I've attached the .dmp file in case. Attachment 60305 | My System Specs |

That file is corrupted. Could you please upload it again?
Yes, I do believe the memory.dmp files will run just like the minidumps.
If you want to know why it created a memory.dmp file, see here: Attachment 60306
I recommend changing it to Small Memory Dump instead of Kernal Memory Dump. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU Intel i7 2600K OC'd @ 4620 MHz Motherboard Asus P8Z68-V Pro Memory 16GB GSkill Sniper 2133 Mhz (4x4GB) Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX 480 SuperClocked+ Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays 2x Acer S273HLbmii 27" Screen Resolution 2 x 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech MK320 (wireless) Mouse Logitech MK320 (wireless) PSU Corsair HW Series 750w (modular) Case Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Blue Edition Cooling CM Hyper 212+ CPU cooler, 3x 230mm + 1x 140mm case fans Hard Drives 64GB Crucial M4 SSD

Can't change it. Because the computer won't boot.

I think the memory.dmp file is corrupted on the machine. I tried to analyze it my self but got the same error about it being corrupted.
CHKDSK did not work.
Guess it's format c: | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DELL VOSTRO 3750 OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU 2nd generation Intel Core i5‐2450M (2C/4T, 2.5GHz, 3M Memory 6GB DDR3 Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M (128 bit), 1GB Grpahics Monitor(s) Displays 17.3 inch High Definition LED Display with anti Screen Resolution (1600 x 900) Hard Drives 500GB 5400 RPM SATA Hard Drive |

Try doing a memory test first. Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using ImgBurn. Boot from the CD, and run at least 5 passes. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU Intel i7 2600K OC'd @ 4620 MHz Motherboard Asus P8Z68-V Pro Memory 16GB GSkill Sniper 2133 Mhz (4x4GB) Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX 480 SuperClocked+ Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays 2x Acer S273HLbmii 27" Screen Resolution 2 x 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech MK320 (wireless) Mouse Logitech MK320 (wireless) PSU Corsair HW Series 750w (modular) Case Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Blue Edition Cooling CM Hyper 212+ CPU cooler, 3x 230mm + 1x 140mm case fans Hard Drives 64GB Crucial M4 SSD

Might be HD, or memory. Before you format you might want to pull all the memory but one stick. Bad pool caller is usually memory corruption
