I have ran sfc/scannow and the program said some corrupted files have been found, but they haven't all been repaired
I've added the log...is there a way for me to repair those files?
According to the CBS Log most of the files are pointing to .NET Frameworks. I guess you could remove .NET Frameworks follow this guide Uninstall Framework .NET 3.5.1 From Windows 7 and reboot the system and reinstall it.

    Hope this helps,

so i have deleted .net frameworks 3.5.1 using the tool, but now I'm having trouble putting it back on my pc
during install, I get the error message : "You must use "Turn Windows features on or off" in the Control Panel to install or configure Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 SP1"

I ran another sfc/scannow and I believe your diagnosis is right:
this time - after I deleted .net frameworks 3.5.1 - no corrupted files were found

now I just have to find a way to reinstall frameworks and hope the pc stays stable

Did you try to turn it on from Control Panel ?? Try to turn it on then install the .NET Frameworks. If you have removed all the versions then you have start install from the lowest build i.e. from Frameworks 1.1 SP 1, 1.1, 2.0, 2.0 SP 1, 3.0, 3.0 SP 1, 3.5, 3.5 SP 1. If that didn't work then run a Repair install

    Hope this helps,

can't get .net framework 3.5.1 to install...now he's complaining about a language pack

I'll have to go for the repair install, or could I do without .net framework?

pc has been just fine since I deleted framework so for the moment I'll just let him be...never change a winning team

if needed I'll perform the repair install, although I'm not sure if I can due to some language-related issues (I got the dutch version of my OS installed)

thanks a lot for your help and quick responses
