| | BSOD - Driver IRQL not LESS or EQUAL Over separate clean install's of Windows 7, my system blue screens and dies, giving this error - Driver IRQL not less or equal. Ive changed my RAM, and my Hard drive - they were due for upgrades anwyay, but the issue STILL persists. Ive read a lot of similar issues on this website, but they dont seem to be describing what is happening to me. The crashes are moody - to say the least. They may not happen for a very long period - like a week or so, and then just happen once, OR crash constantly for an hour and refuse to go back into windows? It does work again after trying after a while. I think it might be a heating issue, causing it to lock up, but its not getting really hot or anything. Im really confused. Im attaching some minidumps, and i'd really appreciate the help! I'm at my wits end here, and I feel I know a thing or two about tech, ya'know? |

Its your RAID driver (vsmraid.sys) and your video driver (dxgmms1.sys) You should uninstall them both completely and download and install a fresh copy. | | Thanks for the help. Ive rolled back my display driver to the previous one, and installed the newest raid drivers. Fingers crossed! Time to stress test it. uTorrent and Half Life 2 seemed to be doing it.  |

| | I just updated that driver. My motherboad only has two SATA ports, so I added a PCI card - VIA VT6421 which gives me two additional SATA ports for HDD's. Additionally, i did the system file check - no errors reported. What should be my next move? |

| | Yeah, in device manager, it says 12/20/2007. The version of the driver is 6.0.6000.6173. However, this is the latest driver (released in the end of 2009). |
