    Nvidia Driver Problem

Hi all, i have this problem when i`m installing the nvidia driver, my computer goes to a black screen similar to that of DOS and locks up. I have to reboot my computer afterwards, then it freezes at windows startup, so i need to go in safe mode and unistall it.

i need to update my video card drivers to play Bad Company 2, but nothing seems to work after 186.18 driver.

i have tried to install the driver in safe mode but same thing happened.

Video card: Nvidia XFX 9600Gt Overclocked edition 740 Mhz.

at some forums people say that this problem may be caused by "white combining" and the only thing i need to do is disable it, but i cant find the way to do it in Windows 7, i have only have found ways to disable it in windows Xp.

i will be waiting your answer, thanks.

no, there is no option to disable white combining in bios.

i`m not really sure if the problem is this white combining, its just something that i found in some random forum.

Maybe a Driver Sweeper after you uninstall...there is always a bit leftover it seems...sometimes these pieces can conflict with other areas...

Also...maybe try to ROLLBACK to a previous driver instead of uninstall/reinstall...that could possible avoid conflicting nodes.
