| | BSOD help! Hi i have just had a computer build custom, and ever since i have gotten the damn thing i have nothing but problems. BSOD for everything i tried to do. When i took it back to the guys that built it, they said windows was corrupt (Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit) and they re installed it. Then when i was using it after that, all seemed great, everything seemed to work. i was playing crysis, running internet, general computer apps, all seemed fine. Then all of a sudden im getting BSOD again, not as often as before though, but not good. I ran windows memory diagnostics, and it said there was a problem with the hardware, so im guessing that's ram. and the BSOD was labled Memory_Managment (and i think i saw a bad pool header at one time). The guys that build my comp tried to tell me it was my fault, and things i was installing was corrupting windows... which was a load of crap. is there any advice you could give me? | | Welcome! Advice? Take the computer back. Ask them for new RAM. Tell them the hardware is defective, and you want them to correct it. That said, do you think you could upload your dmp files so we can analyze them for you? http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-loc...d-problem.html That will give us a better idea of what the problem is. |

| | Hi sorry for the late reply, i haven't been able to get online. I cant upload the dmp files just yet. By the way which dmp files are you talking about? theres some mini dmp files, and a huge 500mb one. Im really confused because the windows memory diagnostics says straight away that there is a problem with the hardware, and yet for a large amount of time, i am able to use programs that use a large portion of the ram, like Crysis for instance. I also ran some BurnInTest thing on my ram, which seemed like it just tested its max capabilities, and in the end it said it had no errors doing that test. The computer though is definitely not working right. Could it maybe be the Motherboard? or does the windows mem test only test the RAM? thanks for your reply too  |

| | Ok i'm in the process of running these tests, im just creating the bootable discs now. I ran the system integrity checker, which said there were no problems, and ive removed norton. I just thought id attach a log of the windows memory test in case that helps more. Apparently if there are errors found, it's supposed to tell you more about it, but it didnt come up with anything when windows rebooted, i got that log from event viewer. Does the windows memory test saying there is hardware issues definately mean there is a problem with the ram, or could it have been sotware, or something else? is there anything else i can do? oh i also have to update the bios still , which im kind of unsure about. If that comes clear then update your BIOS Firmware. If you still have issues post us back !! Hope this helps, Captain |

| | Ah thank goodness! so far i have been free from any BSOD, ive had several high end games running without any errors utilizing the RAM, so i hope it lasts i hope that i dont have to take the comp back, but if i keep having issues ill have to.
