    Windows 7 restarts before login

So my computer was working perfectly fine, I did a couple of windows updates, then went to play a game. I was in the waiting room of the game and right when it started loading i got a BSOD. I didnt copy the bsod because I thought it was gonna happen that one time. After that, everytime I tried to start my computer, it would be at the windows screen and stay there. So I figured I'd do a chkdsk in dos. I got an error that directed me to the c:\windows\prefetch\ directory. my computer would say that folder is corrupted, so i was going to delete it, but I let my computer do a preboot scan from the windows 7 CD. I left it overnight and I saw in the morning that windows was booted to the desktop. I was gonna do a system restore and I saw that I could restore to 3 days prior to the issue, but I figured I would restart in safe mode and delete that prefetch directory. I restarted and it took forever at the windows screen again, so then I deleted that directory from DOS cuz safe mode wouldnt boot up either for some reason. After deleting that directory, I restarted the computer thinking the problem would hopefully be fixed, but now the computer restarts right before the login screen ( black screen with mouse pointer). I cant do a system restore because it says I have no previous restore points (when I know I did have 3 of them and one was on the 15th of march)....So here I am, not knowing what to do? Sorry for the long paragraph. I tried to give detail...Any questions, let me know...Thanks in advance guys.

I ****ing fixed the problem......The Security Accounts Manager file was corrupt. This is the file that controls all the user accounts and passwords. I had to replace it with the backup, which is also on computer one folder ahead of the original. Dont know how it happened, but its fine now...
