Playing video result to a crashed system

Hi all,

I bedded a video in a powerpoint presentation. So I tried to play the presentation. Playing the movie result to a crashed system. Powerpoint doesn't work anymore. So I killed the task and tried to play the presentation again. --> The same issue.
I noticed that after this crash, I cannot play the video, which I bedded in powerpint, on WMP nor on VLC.

Restarting windows helps to play the video with embedded video in powerpoint and WMP, VLC,... It seems, that everything works properly.
But it don't!
Restarting windows again, result to the same issues --> Cannot play embedded video and cannot play video in WMP,VLC.

I thought, it might be a driver problem. So I installed the latest graphics-driver.
It doesn't help!

I reinstalled the whole windows. And nothing, the trouble's still existing!

With another notebook, I never had a problem before.
With this notebook, I have this problems:
- Dell Latitude XT2

Can anyone help me further?

Cheers and thanks a lot,

HugePan
