Problem With Resuming From Screen Saver

Alright so, in the past few days I have been returning to the computer and turn on the monitor, and I have set the screen saver to nothing but just pure black. And when it comes up, the screen is still completely black except for the taskbar. And the black is in boxes, if I open an application for example Windows Live Messenger, it will clear the black off the screen in the area the Windows Live Messenger window takes up. I usually have to open a full screen application to clear all the black off the screen.

I don't know what is going on will someone please help me.

    Thank you,
    Firebat (Aaron)

did you properly install your VGA driver ?
try to decrease your resolution and color first.

    See Guile,

The thing is this has never happened once, until up to two days ago, and I have had this computer and O.S. installed for about 3 months now. So, I did not install anything unproperly. But thank you.

    Pleas help anyone,
    Thank you,
    Aaron

No GuiLe, I do not get the same results if I view it, and a no I have not decreased my resolution nor color setting, I do not see the point in decreasing it, if we know it's not the issue.
