    Both C1E and speed step can effect cpu stablity but on a stock system probably won't have much effect but might be worth a try to disable them for now. You can enable those settings later which allow the CPU to save power on your system. They both show up in bios picture #4.

    If you can find these settings set them up as follows. Changing to the manual setting will allow you to make the required adjustments. If you could also give me the exact model number of your Corsair Ram I could dial in these settings a bit more. I'm having to guess at the memory timings and voltages unless I have that info.

    First make sure you are running the latest BIOS ( P5P43TD PRO BIOS 0502 dated Feb 10 2010 ) available here.

    Set AI Overclock Tuner to {Manual}
    Set DRAM Frequency to {DDR3 - 1333}
    Set DRAM Static Read Control to {Disabled}
    Set DRAM Dynamic Write Control to {Disabled}
    Set DRAM Read Training and Write Training both to {Disabled}
    Set MEM OC Charger to {Enabled}
    Set AI Clock Twister to {Light}
    Set VTT CPU Voltage to {1.35 volts}
    Set Memory Overvoltage to {1.75 Volts} or what ever Corsair specs say
    Set CPU and PCIE Spread Spectrums both to {Disabled}
    Set Memory command rate to 2T if you can find the setting.
    Set DRAM Timing Control to {Manual}
    Set Memory Timings to CL 7-7-7-20 (CL-TRCD-TRP-TRAS) Corsair specs for this also
    Set Row Refresh Cycle to {88 DRAM Clocks}
    1) I never installed a new BIOS dont have an idea how...
    I don't even know which to download... BIOS (3) [BIOS History] or BIOS-Utilities (1) ?

    2) Changing those settings will result to much more power consumption?

    3) I am not sure about my RAM Specs:
    99% = 4GB (2x2GB) Corsair TwinX XMS3 DDR3 PC3-10666 Memory

    1% = 4GB (2x2GB) Corsair TwinX XMS3 DDR3 PC1333 Memory

    According to Speccy my RAM is :

    Please make the changes in bold . These settings are required for system stablity and don't have much to do with power consumption. Power consumption can be adjusted "turned down" on the CPU by enabling C1E and also speed step.

    These settings are perfectly safe and you won't burn anything up. This is standard procedure for just about any enthusiast board, especially older DDR3 boards which can be very picky about bios memory settings.

    Installing the latest bios would also help but reflashing your bios is optional. The latest bios version is 0502 "top of page" which shows as bios 3. There are directions for reflashing bios on the Asus site. You don't need to use the latest bios but it's been known to help with your particular board. Try the settings below first and run your machine to see if it's any more stable.

    Set AI Overclock Tuner to {Manual}
    Set DRAM Frequency to {DDR3 - 1333}
    Set DRAM Static Read Control to {Disabled}
    Set DRAM Dynamic Write Control to {Disabled}
    Set DRAM Read Training and Write Training both to {Disabled}
    Set MEM OC Charger to {Enabled}
    Set AI Clock Twister to {Light}
    Set VTT CPU Voltage to {1.35 volts}
    Set Memory Overvoltage to {1.60 Volts} <<<<<
    Set CPU and PCIE Spread Spectrums both to {Disabled}
    Set Memory command rate to 2T. <<<<<
    Set DRAM Timing Control to {Manual}
    Set Memory Timings to CL 9-9-9-24 <<<<<<<(CL-TRCD-TRP-TRAS)
    Set Row Refresh Cycle to {88 DRAM Clocks}

    couldnt set CPU Voltage to 1.35... closest available was 1.3

    Couldnt vhnage overvoltage

    didnt find memory command rate and memory timings..

    I changed nothing so I make changes at one for safety reasons.
