BSOD, application failures, even when computer is idle!

Alright, so I have a custom built system: Asus P5Q SE Plus motherboard, Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200, WD 640 GB SATA II WD6401AALS, (2x2GB) Mushkin XP2-8500 DDR2 1066 MhZ, Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4870 1 GB.

When I first got it, I slapped windows XP on it because it was handy. I started having irregular application failures. Originally it seemed related to media player, but then it would crash surfing the internet, playing games, or even while the computer was just on and sitting there doing nothing (not sleep or hibernate, just...sitting there.).

So I brought it into the store, they tested Hard Drive, Power Supply and RAM, and said everthing was fine, they said try Windows 7 because it looks like a software issue.

Tested hard drive and ram myself using PowerMax 4.23 and Memtest 86 3.1a and the results were a single ram error.

    I installed Windows Seven.

I had an isue with the graphics card but I installed the drivers on the CD that are designed for windows 7 and that issue sorted itself out.

It has crashed: on shutdown, when idly sitting there, when playing games, when surfing the internet, etc.

Some of the common errors I get:
    Page fault in non-page area
    dxgmm1.sys (BC Code 50)
    BC Code 1e
    BC Code 3b
    BC Code 1000007e
    BC Code d1
    BC Code 24
    BC Code 19...

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions?

Using 64 bit version of Windows 7.

A sample of recent minidumps attached.

I just wanted to add that I ran defrag after the install of both XP and 7, and the windows 7 version of chkdsk no issues on either one. I also know that the RAM I'm using is not on the QVL list from ASUS for my motherboard, could that be the root cause?

I've also investigated the error codes I posted (obviously or I wouldn't be posting on this forum for help), I seem to find variations in root causes, for example dxgmm1.sys, for one person it was the sound card, as I have onboard sound I knew that wasn't the issue, another was the video card, and I've seen the ATI catalyst has issues with win 7, most people say to install the driver straight from ATI which I did. Another individual had the ram as the issue.

As I don't have extra RAM or another video card to test I was wondering if someone could help point me in a more focused direction from the information I've posted, I don't understand the minidump files and was wondering if it pointed to a more specific root cause?

You have several causes for these crashes but they all point to memory. I dont know how long you tested the ram with memtest. It may also be a heat issue but all signs point to memory (see below)

You are the greatest, I'll let you know what the results are when I get new RAM, I feel a lot better knowing what component to test first then just ideally switching them out. I did read an article on 1066 Mhz RAM and them requiring an additional heat sink.

Also as an aside I ran a memtest 3 times, the first memtest was done at the store, the other two I ran myself for 6 hours each time and only one error.
