PCI.sys Driver Powerstate blue screens

hmm, I think they made an ISO version available shortly after I made my own ISO. They did this in response to people not being able to install. I'll see if they still have that. Then order the disc if not. Thanks for the help. Post if you think of anything else, later on.

I think I might of fixed it with your last piece of advice. Here's exactly what I did.

I tried to repair with the disc I already have. The one you suspected was corrupt. I didn't see any repair options other then repairing my boot files, or using system image and restore. I didn't choose any of those. I instead went to install windows. I chose upgrade instead of clean install. I just assumed you meant the upgrade by repair install.

I let it finish. I then accepted the initial round of updates, until I got to the first one that required a restart. I postponed that.

Next, I fired up Firefox and the Media player like before, and tested sleep. This time the HDD powered down, and I was able to come out of sleep normally.

All settings and drivers are the same except for w/e upgrade changes.

I think it might be a conflict with an update and a driver possibly? I'm going to manually update each one then test, until done or the same problem happens. Any suggestions? I'll let you know how it turns out.

P.S. I allowed it to update online while upgrading. It downloaded about 1-2mb of data, that could of also fixed it.

I just got done with testing the updates and drivers. It seems to be working fine now.

Thanks both of you for the help. After using it for a while, I'll post back if it BSOD again.

I thought of something I noticed during two of the clean installs. After updating drivers and windows, one time in each of the clean installs the computer became frozen at shut down after configuring windows. I had to force a hard shut down. I'd run the sfc /scannow, and would pick up nothing, so I went on my merry way. Might of been one of the things wrong, Idk. I'm not knowledgeable enough about windows 7 yet to know. Also, by frozen I mean it says shutting down with the circle still moving for 20 mins+ after it's done configuring.

Good day! I'm sorry for going on with this old thread, but I have a similar problem with power and that pci.sys, but I have no idea what is wrong with it.. Can anyone help? I see some stuff, but I can't understand what's wrong. I tried running "verifier" as you describe, but it couldn't even boot. I had to turn it off through safe mode every time. Anyway, I'm also posting my minidump files..
