BAD_POOL_HEADER with ext3 driver

    BAD_POOL_HEADER with ext3 driver


    Once again, I have a BSoD issue. And I suspect it has to do with my ext3 driver. So I was in Windows Explorer and I clicked on my linux partition. I have my /home folder in a separate partition, to make it easier to upgrade, so I was looking for the /home folder. Then... it freezes and gives a BSoD with BAD_POOL_HEADER and it says it is generating the crash dump files, then reboots.

    I said it most likely has to do with the ext3 driver.

    So when I try to boot up again, I'll do what I always do after a BSoD: run the memory diagnostics and leave the computer till I need it. I am wondering: should I remove the driver ? On that subject, I also have an Apple official HFS+ driver installed but that seems to have no effect. I have no crash dump in \Windows\Minidump but here is the one from the last time (change the extension to .dmp):

    Well the problem is not clear. Windows didn't catch the exact driver that is causing the problem. So i would recommend to run the Driver Verifier so it would Nail the exact driver that has cause the problem.

Has anyone managed to install Windows to a EXT3 or EXT4 volume with success? I've been looking into it but I haven't been able to find anything worthwhile except a few installable drivers that enable reading and writing to other EXTn volumes.
I've just ran into what appears to be a bug with Disk Management under Win7. THe problem seems to go back all the way to OS reporting themselves as NT 5.2 or greater. XP x64 has the problem, Win2K3 server does and Windows 7 does. I don't have any version of Vista to check, so I don't know for sure...
