    nvlddmkm.sys crash

I keep getting nvlddmkm.sys crashes and did everything to solve it. I did memory checks, driver reinstalls, driver rollbacks, win 7 reinstalls, even overvoltaging my north bridge which i heard helps, and nothing helps. It used to happen when i played games for 3 hrs. but now i dont even have to run a video or 3d application. I dont even need to have my memory or cpu maxed out. Im pretty sure my video card is fried or bad or something, but i dont want to replace it if im actually sure. I am attaching my minidump files and my specs:

    PSU: 550W corsair
GPU: evga gts 250 1gb superclocked
    MoBo: evga 750i sli
    DVD-RW drive
    7200 RPM 32mb buffer 500GB(samsung)
    CPU:Intel core 2 quad Q8200 2.33Ghz
    Generic cable tv card
    titan fenrir(huge-ass cpu heatsink)
    120mm case and heatsink fans

    i use Windows 7 64-bit home premium

    Hello Welcome to SF !!

I guess its an issue with your Display card (nvlddmkm.sys) i would recommend to uninstall the drivers completely from the Computer and reinstall from a fresh download. Follow this link it might be helpful Info: nVidia Driver Cleaning Guide - Overclock.net - Overclocking.net

Also if you want you could also run a stress test here is the link for it FurMark: Graphics Card Stability and Stress Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net

Run the Memory Diagnostic & HD Diagnostic

    Start > Run > CMD
Right click and Run as Administrator > SFC /SCANNOW

You can also download this and run a diagnostic on all hardware outside of Windows.

0x116 is rough. It could be a faulty card itself or even improper system RAM settings in the motherboard bios. Or even too weak of a psu.

Start with using driver sweeper from guru3d.com to clear the system of all previous driver and related files. Then install the latest from NVIDIA's site for your card. Take it from there.

The actual driver version in use never seems to be neither the cause nor solution. Users tend to get this error across all drivers tried, which leads to look elsewhere.

I notice your card is overclocked.

That could be the cause of the problems. Reset it to factory settings, and see if the problem goes away.

Very true. Good post. Rivatuner can downclock a little for a test. And/or raise fan speed to max too, as a test.

Jonathan_King thanks for ur suggestion but the card is factory overclocked. but if u know, how long is the evga warranty. i was thinking that i could have a too weak powersupply. i tried furmark and atitool and saw no artifacting or unsafe temps until furmark crashed randomly 2hrs in. but this is normal. i set all of my fans to max, but i cant tell a difference.
