    Windows 7 crushing and restarting

    Hello my new friends

i am an italian reader of this forum (i'm sorry for my ugly english), and i have a problem: my win7 os restart everytime he wants. Sometime he just crushes in a grey screen, sometime crashes while browsing and i cannot move anything and i have to hardrestard the pc, sometime he autorestart.

I tried to check the error list with the autocheck program of w7 and he gave me 53 errors... it's just 1 error repeated 53 times.

    Windows
    Problema: Errore nell'hardware video
File che contribuiscono alla descrizione del problema:
    WD-20100413-1849.dmp
    sysdata.xml
    WERInternalMetadata.xml

this is the error message it gave to me.

I try to post also the rar file with the dmp so that someone can help me...

Please help me, i'm fighting with my wife every day because i want to keep w7 and she want me to reinstall win xp

Looks like your video card driver is causing the issue. Try updating it to the latest version.

Uninstall the Catalyst suite; only install the driver itself.

    Oberon,
That card is listed as "compatible" but is not logoed.

My experience has been that some products listed as compatible have problems.

Following is a cut and paste from the hardware compatibility list:
ATI Radeon HD 4870 ATI Technologies, ULC Compatible with
    Windows 7 Compatible with
Windows 7 MediaCenter ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 ATI Technologies, ULC Compatible with
    Windows 7 Compatible with

Update the utility software found on your motherboard manufacturer's website for your board. This is specifically so this driver is updated:

    Code:
    ASACPI ASACPI.sys Sun Mar 27 22:30:36 2005
